Students stranded in Kolkata return to Sri Lanka

A group of Sri Lankan students stranded in Kolkata, India returned to the country today.

SriLankan Airlines said that 125 students returned to Sri Lanka on flight UL 1188.

The Ministry of Foreign Relations is engaged in repatriating Sri Lankans stranded overseas due to the coronavirus outbreak, based on requests submitted by the stranded individuals and their respective families.

So far several students and others have been brought down from parts of India, Nepal and Bangladesh. (Colombo Gazette)
