A group of Sri Lankan students who were stranded overseas due to the COVID-19 pandemic, arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake today.
The group consisting of 143 Sri Lankan students were repatriated from New Delhi in India.
The students were brought back via a special flight chartered by National carrier SriLankan Airlines.
The Ministry of Foreign Relations is engaged in repatriating Sri Lankans stranded overseas due to the coronavirus outbreak, based on requests submitted by the stranded individuals and their respective families. (Colombo Gazette)
