Another batch of Sri Lankan students who were stranded overseas due to the COVID-19 pandemic arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake today.
The group consisting of 164 students were repatriated from Bangalore in India.
The students were brought back to Sri Lanka via special flight UL 1172 that was chartered by National Carrier SriLankan Airlines.
Sri Lankans stranded overseas due to the coronavirus outbreak are being repatriated in batches by the Ministry of Foreign Relations together with SriLankan Airlines based on requests submitted by them and their respective families. (Colombo Gazette)
