An islandwide curfew has been declared tomorrow as troops on leave return to their respective camps.
Troops on leave had been instructed to return to their camps tomorrow to be deployed on duty as the country continues to fight the coronavirus.
The President’s Media Division said that the curfew, which was to be lifted in parts of the country tomorrow, will remain in force.
Instead the curfew will be lifted, except in the Colombo, Kalutara, Gampaha and Puttalam districts at 5.00 am on Tuesday (28) and will be re-imposed at 8.00 pm that night.
Troops on leave, who are unable to find transport to return to their respective camps and bases, have been requested to report to the closest camp.
