Number of coronavirus patients rises

Three more patients tested positive for COVID-19 in Sri Lanka today.

The Ministry of Health said the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Sri Lanka now stands at 420.

The Ministry said 304 patients among the infected have been reported as active cases.

Meanwhile, 183 persons are admitted to various hospitals on suspicion of having contracted the virus.

The Ministry of Health said 109 patients, including 108 Sri Lankans and one Chinese woman, have recovered so far and have been discharged from hospital.

Seven deaths due to COVID- 19 have been reported so far in Sri Lanka. (Colombo Gazette)

Court orders protection for Namal Kumara

The Police has been ordered to give protection to informant and activist Namal Kumara under the Victims and Witness Protection Act.
