Another batch of students stranded in India return to Sri Lanka

Another group of Sri Lankan students who were stranded overseas due to the coronavirus pandemic landed at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake today.

The group consists of 163 Sri Lankan students, and were repatriated from Mumbai, India.

The students were repatriated by a special flight chartered by National Carrier Sri Lankan Airlines.

The Ministry of Foreign Relations has taken steps to repatriate Sri Lankan students stranded overseas, based on requests made by the students to return to Sri Lanka. (Colombo Gazette)
