Four more people test positive for virus in Sri Lanka

Four more people tested positive for the coronavirus in Sri Lanka today, taking the total detected in the country to 248.

Of the four who tested positive today, three are from the Oluvil quarantine center while one person was in self-isolation in Rambukkane.

The Ministry of Health said 164 persons among the infected have been identified as active cases.

Meanwhile, 103 persons are admitted to various hospitals on suspicion of having contracted the coronavirus.

Nine more patients who were infected with COVID-19 have completely recovered and were discharged from hospital today.

A total of 86 patients, including 85 Sri Lankans and one Chinese woman, have recovered so far and have been discharged from hospital.

The Ministry of Health added that 7 deaths due to COVID-19 have been reported so far in Sri Lanka. (Colombo Gazette)
