Group of 32 individuals in Ja-Ela moved to quarantine center

A group of 32 individuals in the Ja-Ela area who had contact with a coronavirus patient have been moved to a quarantine center by the Navy.

The Navy had earlier moved another group of people from the area to a quarantine center.

The Navy Intelligence Unit and Ja-ela Police had last week carried out a joint operation in the Ja-ela and Makewita areas to identify those who had come in direct contact with the coronavirus patients from Ja-ela.

The Navy said it had identified 52 persons, 43 from Ja-ela and 9 from Makewita, who had come in direct contact with the patients infected with COVID-19. (Colombo Gazette)

Government will consider reducing fuel price
