Navy to move 52 persons from Ja-ela to Oluvil centre

Another 52 persons have been detained by the Navy after coming into direct contact with patients found to be infected with the coronavirus in Ja- Ela.
Sri Lanka Navy apprehended 28 persons from the Suduwella area in Ja-ela on? Thursday (09) for violating instructions to remain in self -quarantine.
The group were later moved to the Navy run quarantine center in Oluvil, where 6 from the group were identified to have contracted the virus.
The Navy Intelligence Unit and Ja-ela Police had thereafter carried out a joint operation yesterday (11) Ja-ela and Makewita areas to identify those who had come in direct contact with the patients from Ja-ela.
The Navy said it had identified 52 persons, 43 from Ja-ela and 9 from Makewita, who had come in direct contact with the patients infected with COVID-19 from the previous group.
?The 52 persons will also be transported to the Navy- run quarantine center in Oluvil, it said. (Colombo Gazette)
