The grace period granted to settle payments of outstanding electricity bills for the month of March has been further extended.
Minister of Power and Energy Mahinda Amaraweera said the grace period has been extended till 30 April.
Earlier, the Ministry of Power and Energy granted a grace period for the payment of electricity bills for the month of February.
Consumers were allowed to settle their February bills by 31 March.
The Ministry added that electricity supply will not be disconnected during this period and urged all consumers to pay their outstanding bills within the announced grace period. (Colombo Gazette)
