Seventh death reported due to coronavirus

A 48 year- old male infected with COVID-19 died this evening, raising the total number of deaths due to the Coronavirus in Sri Lanka to 7.
The Ministry of Health said that the patient had died while receiving treatment at the National institute of Infectious Diseases (IDH) in Angoda.
Meanwhile, four more patients infected with COVID-19 were detected in Sri Lanka today, taking the total number of infected patients to 189.
The Ministry of Health said 139 patients, among the infected, have been identified as active cases.
Meanwhile, 228 persons are under observation in various hospitals on suspicion of having contracted the virus.
The Ministry of Health said 44 patients, including 43 Sri Lankans and one Chinese woman, have recovered so far and have been discharged from hospital. (Colombo Gazette)
