Seven sentenced to death over murder of Sivaloganathan Vithya

Seven accused over the rape and murder of Sivaloganathan Vithya were today sentenced to death by a trial-at-bar at the Jaffna High Court. Vithya was abducted and raped in 2015 before she was killed. Among those sentenced to death was?the main suspect identified as Swiss Kumar. Iranian national arrested at BIA with forged passport

An?Iranian national was arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) today with a forged passport. The Immigration and Emigration Department said that the?Iranian had in his possession a passport which was forged using sophisticated technology.
