Three more patients test positive for virus in Sri Lanka

The total number of patients confirmed to have contracted the coronavirus in Sri Lanka stands at 162.

Director of Health Services Dr. Anil Jasighe said that 3 more patients infected with the virus were detected as of 05.00 p.m. today.

Meanwhile, 5 deaths have so far been reported due to the coronavirus in Sri Lanka.

The deceased have been identified as residents of Marawila, Negombo, Maradana, Ratmalana and Homagama.

The Ministry of Health said 25 patients, including 24 Sri Lankans and a Chinese woman, have so far recovered and have been discharged from Hospitals.

It said 132 active coronavirus cases have been reported, with 273 persons receiving treatment on suspicion of having contracted the virus.(Colombo Gazette)

Two more Navy officers arrested over abductions

Two more Navy officers have been arrested over the abduction and disappearance of 11 youth. The two Navy?officers were arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID). Former Navy Lieutenant Commander Chandana Hettiaracchi aka Navy Sampath, wis already in remanded over the abduction of the 11 youth. The 11 youth had been abducted between 2008 and 2009. New report published on 500 Tamils missing while in Army custody
