Over 40 from Negombo moved to Punani quarantine centre

Over 40 persons from Negombo have been transported to the Punani quarantine centre.

Military Spokesman Brigadier Chandana Wickremesinghe said the group were identified to have come into direct contact with the 2nd Sri Lankan to die due to Covid-19.

He said 43 individuals were identified to have come in direct contact with the victim from Kochchikade, Negombo.

They will undergo a 14- day quarantine period at the Punani quarantine centre, he added. (Colombo Gazette)
