Suspect arrested over murder of Atulugama child

A suspect has been arrested over the murder of a child in Atulugama, the Police said. Investigations revealed that the child was not raped but was forcibly drowned. The 29-year-old suspect is said to be a resident of Atulugama in Bandaragama. Fatima Ayesha was reported missing in Atulugama on Friday and her body was found on Saturday. The 9-year-old girl was believed to have been abducted and killed. Fatima Ayesha was reported missing after she went to a nearby shop to purchase some items.

SJB ready to support 21st Amendment if changes are made

The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) is ready to support the 21st Amendment to the Constitution if the required changes are made to the draft document.
