Sri Lankans who returned from Chennai asked to report to PHI

All Sri Lankans who had returned from Chennai, India after 14 March have been requested to notify the Public Health Inspector (PHI) in their relevant areas.

The Director General of Health Services Dr. Anil Jasinghe said 4 more patients were detected to have contracted the coronavirus during the course of today.

Two patients, among the four detected patients, are said to have returned from Chennai, India during the last few days, he said.

Dr. Jasinghe said 2 more patients who had also returned from India over the last few days have been identified as patients infected with Covid-19.

Dr. Jasinghe therefore requested all those who returned from India over the last 14 days to inform their area Public Health Inspectors and remain in self- isolation. (Colombo Gazette)

All Sri Lankans who had returned from Chennai, India after 14 March have been requested to remain self isolation after reporting to the PHI of the respective area after contracting the virus with their families and friends. It is pointless to advice these patients who return from CHENNAI to follow the quarantine process after two weeks of their arrival to Sri Lanka through the Airport. These returnees should have been taken to the quarantine process from the airport without allowing them to reaching their families. The measures have not been taken properly during the coronavirus pandemic (once the bus passed the bus stop no use of trying to stop it but you have followed it)
