Tourists in Kalutara hotels have been advised to remain indoors as some patients confirmed to have contracted the coronavirus had been staying at hotels in Kalutara or were involved in some way with tourists in that district.
Director General of Health Services Dr. Anil Jayasinghe said that 13 patients confirmed to have contracted the coronavirus were from the Kalutara district.
He said that several among them were involved with the tourism industry in Kalutara or arrived from overseas and stayed in a hotel in Kalutara.
Dr. Anil Jayasinghe said that there are around 900 tourists staying at hotels in Kalutara.
They have been advised to remain indoors without moving around as there is a risk of them having contracted the virus. (Colombo Gazette)
