Sri Lankan man found dead in Italy

A 70 year old Sri Lankan man has been found dead inside his residence in Messina, Italy.

The Spokesperson to the Ministry of Foreign Relations Ruwanthi Delpitiya told Colombo Gazette the incident reported yesterday was confirmed by both the Sri Lankan Embassy in Rome as well as the Sri Lankan Consulate in Milan.

Delpitiya said that contrary to media reports saying the man had died due to the coronavirus, hospitals are yet to ascertain the cause for his death. (Colombo Gazette)
