SLTB employees to get higher salaries from October 1st

Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) employees are to receive a pay hike from October 01, the Government said. The Government said that the?Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, Nimal Siripala de Silva had agreed to implement the pay hike. Former Prisons Commissioner and Police IP further remanded

Former Prisons Commissioner Emil Ranjan and Inspector of Police (IP) Neomal Rangajeewa, who were arrested over the 2012 Welikada Prison riot, have been further remanded till September 18th.
