Train derails in Galgamuwa area, tracks damaged

A train derailed in the Galgamuwa area today causing extensive damage to the tracks. The Yal Devi operating between Colombo and Jaffna derailed in the Galgamuwa area. Officials said that some compartments of the train had been damaged in the accident. Train operations on the line were disrupted as a result of the accident.
