Second interim report by commission on Easter attacks handed over

The second interim report of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry appointed to probe the Easter Sunday attacks was handed over to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa at the Presidential Secretariat today (02). The first interim report was handed over on December 20th, 2019. EC to accept nominations from 12-19 March for polls

The National Elections Commission (EC) says nominations for the 25th April Parliamentary elections will be accepted from 12-19 March. President Gotabaya Rajapaksa signed the gazette notice to dissolve Parliament from midnight tonight. The new Parliament will convene on 14 May. (Colombo Gazette)
