Schools ordered to refrain from sending students for exercises during mid-day

The Education Ministry has ordered schools to refrain from sending students for exercises during mid-day.

The directive has been issued due to high temperatures recorded in Colombo.

Accordingly, schools are prohibited from sending students during the hours of 11 a.m. to 3.30 p.m.

The Department of Meteorology recorded one of the highest temperatures of 35.3?C in Colombo today.

Five, including child, killed in Warakapola accident
