Suspect accused of selling 30 babies arrested

A 47-year-old man involved in child trafficking has been arrested in Matale. Police Spokesman, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Ajith Rohana said investigations have revealed 30 newborn children have been sold by the suspect to date. Term of commission on Easter attacks extended

The term of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) probing the Easter Sunday terror attacks has been extended until January 31, 2021. The PCoI on the Easter attacks was appointed in September 2019 by former President Maithripala Sirisena, weeks ahead of the Presidential Election.
