IGP says discussions ongoing to revamp police media unit

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Pujith Jayasundara says discussions are ongoing to revamp the?police media unit and relaunch it. The unit which sends details on law and order related incidents to the media, was suspended by the IGP yesterday. Eight Nigerians and two Sri Lankans arrested with cocaine

Eight Nigerians and two Sri Lankans were arrested at different locations with cocaine, the police said. The police narcotics bureau conducted a raid in the Mount Lavinia, Ragama and Battaramulla areas and arrested the foreigners and two locals. Over 200 grams of?cocaine was seized from the suspects.
