Monk killed in Police shooting

A Buddhist monk was killed after being accidentally shot by Police in Hungama today, the Police said.

The Police had opened fire during a scuffle involving a motorcyclist.

The motorcyclist had failed to stop when ordered to do so by the Police.

A monk who was in the area at the time was accidentally shot at by the Police who had opened fire targeting the motorcyclist.

Ramith Rambukwella’s driving licence suspended

The driving licence of former Minister Keheliya Rambukwella’s son Ramith Rambukwella’s was suspended by the Traffic Court today. Rambukwella was arrested recently over an accident which took place at Independence Avenue in Colombo while he?was under the influence of alcohol.
