Term of commission on Easter attacks extended

The term of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) probing the Easter Sunday terror attacks has been extended until January 31, 2021. Suspect accused of selling 30 babies arrested

A 47-year-old man involved in child trafficking has been arrested in Matale. Police Spokesman, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Ajith Rohana said investigations have revealed 30 newborn children have been sold by the suspect to date. No decision on Maldives offer to bury Muslims from Sri Lanka

The Government says no decision has been taken yet on the offer made by the Maldives to bury the bodies of Muslim Covid victims from Sri Lanka.
