CID investigates ‘white van’ claims by Rajitha

The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) is investigating claims made by former Minister Dr. Rajith Senaratane on alleged ‘white van abductions’ prior to the Presidential election.

During the Presidential election campaign, Senaratane had brought before the media two man said to be drivers of a ‘white van used for abductions.

The CID informed court today that it will be investigating the two men and the former Minister.

Company owned by Ravi got Rs 5 million from W.M Mendis

A?company owned by former Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake received a cheque for Rs 5 million from W.M Mendis, a company owned by?Perpetual Treasuries Limited (PTL) owner Arjun Aloysius in 2017.
