SLPP says Sinhalese Buddhists defeated racism

The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) says Sinhalese Buddhists united at the last Presidential election and defeated racism.

SLPP member, Parliamentarian Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena urged Tamils and Muslims in the country to support the SLPP to defeat racism.

He said that President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa are keen to work for the people in the North and East.

Abeywardena said that in the past political parties in the North did not promote racism. Bu this time things were different.

The SLPP member urged the Tamils and Muslims to support the SLPP at the next Parliamentary election.

A majority of the Tamils and Muslims supported New Democratic Front Presidential candidate Sajith Premadasa at the Presidential election.

  1. So long as there are no Moslem Ministers in the parliament, there will be less problems, swords, fraud, land grabbing, destruction of religious statues, unauthorised buildings, nepotism and so forth.

  2. There are more ‘Followers Of True Buddha Dharma’ around the globe than ‘Sinhala Buddhists’. Please explain to me the difference between a ‘Sinhala Buddhist’ and a ‘German. French, British, American, Thai….. Buddhist’?
Divide and rule is the SLPP ‘moto’ and you, Mahinda Yapa is an opportunistic, disgusting parasite. (Wasala)
