Pakistan Prime Minister hails progress made during Mahinda’s term

Prime Minister Imran Khan telephoned Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa to felicitate him on his appointment as the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka.

The Prime Minister lauded the progress made by Sri Lanka during Rajapaksa’s two terms as President.

Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed the desire to work closely with the Sri Lankan Prime Minister to further strengthen Pakistan-Sri Lanka bilateral relations in all dimensions.

The Prime Minister also extended an invitation to Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa to visit Pakistan.

The Sri Lankan Prime Minister thanked Prime Minister Imran Khan for his felicitations and said that he looked forward to working together to further strengthen Sri Lanka-Pakistan relations.

Champika’s driver granted bail over Rajagiriya accident

The Colombo High Court today granted bail to former Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka’s driver over the case filed on an accident in Rajagiriya in 2016. Dilum Thusitha Kumara surrendered to the Court after submitting a motion. The Colombo High Court thereafter granted bail on an additional surety. Maithripala appears before commission on Easter attacks

Former President Maithripala Sirisena appeared before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) probing the Easter Sunday terror attacks today.
