Mahinda to take oaths tomorrow as Prime Minister

Opposition leader Mahinda Rajapaksa is to take oaths as Prime Minister tomorrow.

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa is to give the appointment letter to his brother Mahinda Rajapaksa tomorrow.

Rajapaksa will be appointed Prime Minister of a caretaker cabinet which will be in office till the next Parliamentary election in April 2020.

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa was Prime Minister last October as well during the political crisis.

Mahinda Rajapaksa is to be appointed as Prime Minister following the resignation of Ranil Wickremesinghe.

Mahinda Rajapaksa is to appoint a caretaker cabinet after taking oaths as the Prime Minister.

  1. How can Mahinda even be in the Parliament as he is from SLPP a party which was not a contestant at the last General Election. Over to you Speaker.

  2. And as always, bad news follows the good. At least this time there is no money to steal because the the treasury hasn’t got any. Unfortunately, the Chinese have !
