UNP says leadership issue taking spotlight off national issues

The United National Party (UNP) says the leadership issue in the party is taking the spotlight off national issues. AG directs CID to arrest former SriLankan CEO and wife over Airbus deal

Attorney General (AG) Dappula de Livera has directed the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) to arrest the former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SriLankan Airlines Kapila Chandrasena and his wife Priyanka Niyomali Wijenayaka. Concerns over failure by Government to sing National Anthem in Tamil

Concerns were raised today over the failure by the Government to sing the National Anthem in Tamil at the main Independence Day event at Independence Square.
