The Police Special Task Force (STF) arrested a leading underworld gang member in?Hanwella. The Police said that Sisira Kumara alias Bula was arrested by the STF in a special operation. A hand grenade and heroin was also seized from his possession following the arrest.

Eleven Chinese arrested and remanded over clash in Colombo

The Police said that eleven Chinese nationals were arrested in Fort over a clash and remanded till next month. The clash had taken place between the?Chinese nationals and a group of locals. A few of them had sustained injuries in the clash. (Colombo Gazette)
