Over 40 vehicles destroyed in fire at PSD building

Over 40 vehicles were destroyed in a fire at the Presidential Security Division (PSD) building in Fort, Colombo.

The Police said that 47 motorcycles and a three-wheeler parked at the premises were destroyed in the blaze.

The Police said that the vehicles were parked in the ground floor of the building at the time of the fire.

Fire brigades had been deployed to extinguish the fire but by that time the vehicles were destroyed.

The cause for the fire is still unclear.

Police, military, STF deployed to churches for Easter

The Police, military and the Special Task Force (STF) have been deployed to churches for Easter Sunday.
