Maldives coastguard locates missing Sri Lankan fishing boat

Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF)?s Coastguard has located the Sri Lankan fishing boat which went missing and drifted into Maldivian territorial waters with 6 fishermen, Sun online in the Maldives reported. MNDF?s information officer, Captain Ibrahim Azim reported that the Sri Lankan fishing boat ?Lakpriya? was found 12 nautical miles outside N. Manadhoo at approximately 9:45 am this Saturday. He said the information has been shared with the Maritime Rescue Coordination Center of Colombo.

SLFP warns will take disciplinary action on party members

The?Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) has warned that disciplinary action will be taken on party members who work against the party. The SLFP Central Committee which met last night had decided on several steps which need to be taken to strengthen the party. At the meeting it was decided that?disciplinary action will be taken on SLFP members who work against the party. Petition to be handed over to US Embassy against Trump’s decision

A petition was signed in Colombo today to be handed over to the US Embassy against the decision taken by US President Donald Trump to recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
