Suspect arrested with 650 foreign liquor bottles

An individual was arrested in wattala with 650 bottles of foreign liquor bottles.

The arrest was carried out a by joint task force officers from the Excise Deparment and the Western Naval Command who had raided a suspiciously parked car.

Upon search of the car the task force had found a large consignment of 650 foreign liquor bottles which they confiscated.

The owner of the car was identified as a local drug dealer and was taken into Naval custody.

In addition, three other suspects who had arrived to buy the foreign liquor bottles were also arrested.
