Gota yet to agree to invite for live debate

Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Presidential candidate Gotabaya Rajapaksa is yet to agree to the open invitation extended by New Democratic Front (NDF) Presidential candidate Sajith Premadasa for a live debate.

Speaking at an election rally in Kollonawa today Premadasa said that his invitation still stands.

He says he wants to debate his policies with the policies of Rajapaksa.

Earlier this week SLPP member Namal Rajapaksa tweeted saying Gotabaya Rajapaksa is willing to consider the debate after Premadasa releases his election manifesto.

Premadasa released his election manifesto yesterday while Rajapaksa had released his earlier. (Colombo Gazette)

Police warn isolation status will be extended if rules not respected

Protest in Kalmunai against forced cremations
