Police raid two brothels in Seeduwa and Katana

The Police raided two brothels operating in Seeduwa and Katana and arrested sex workers employed at both locations.

The Police said that a brothel operating as an Ayurveda Spa was raided in Seeduwa after obtaining a court order.

Following the raid the Police arrested the manager of the Spa and a woman engaged in the sex trade.

The Police also raided a brothel operating as an Ayurveda Spa in Katana and arrested a suspect and two women engaged in the sex trade.

Further investigations are underway.

One million doses of Sinopharm vaccine arrive in Sri Lanka

One million doses of the Sinopharm vaccine arrived in Sri Lanka today. The vaccines, purchased by Sri Lanka, arrived from China. The cabinet had last week approved a proposal to?purchase more Sinopharm and Pfizer vaccines.
