TNA rebel MP Viyalendiran extends support to Gota

Tamil National Alliance (TNA) Parliamentarian S. Viyalendiran has extended support to Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Presidential candidate Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

Viyalendiran had extended support to Mahinda Rajapaksa during the political crisis last October.

The TNA had then initiated a disciplinary inquiry against the Parliamentarian as the party had supported Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe during the crisis and opposed Rajapaksa.

He has since operated as an independent MP in Parliament. (Colombo Gazette)

Vaccination of Chinese nationals in Sri Lanka using Sinopharm begins

The vaccination of Chinese nationals in Sri Lanka using the Sinopharm vaccine began today. The Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) is to inoculate 4,000 Chinese nationals from today using the Sinopharm vaccine.
