Controversial preacher Prophet Jerome is to be arrested on his return to Sri Lanka, the Police said. Jerome is overseas on a pre-scheduled visit and will return to Sri Lanka soon. On a post published on his Instagram, Jerome said that he will return to Sri Lanka on Sunday. ?As you are all aware , I?m presently traveling on pre scheduled official matters pertaining to the ministry and will be back home on Sunday. US calls on China to play formal role in Sri Lanka’s debt restructuring

Case filed in Singapore over X-Press Pearl incident

A case has been filed in Singapore over the X-Press Pearl incident, the President’s Media Division (PMD) said. The Attorney General (AG) filed the claim in the High Court of Singapore over the X-Press Pearl incident involving six defendants. A case conference hearing took place on 15th May and the next hearing is scheduled for June, PMD said.
