Gotabaya Rajapaksa in Singapore for medical attention

Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Presidential candidate Gotabaya Rajapaksa left for Singapore today to seek medical attention.

Rajapaksa left early this morning and is scheduled to return to Sri Lanka on the 12th of October.

Earlier this month Rajapaksa sought court approval to travel overseas for medical treatment.

Rajapaksa sought approval from the Permanent High Court Trial-at-Bar to travel to Singapore from October 9-12.

The court had approved the request and allowed Rajapaksa to travel overseas.

The Permanent High Court Trial-at-Bar had imposed an overseas travel ban on Rajapaksa over an ongoing case. (Colombo Gazette)
