Longest ballot paper for 2019 Presidential election

The 2019 Presidential election will see the longest ballot paper being used with 35 candidates contesting.

The National Elections Commission said that the ballot paper will be over 2 feet in length to accommodate the names and symbol of all 35 candidates.

The 2019 Presidential election will take place on 16 November.

A total of 41 candidates had paid deposits to contest the election but the nomination papers of only 35 candidates were handed over.

The record number of candidates contesting the election has forced the National Elections Commission to exceed the usual cost to conduct the election.

The Commission is also preparing to import ballot boxes for the election.

Military intelligence assisting Police to locate suspects

The military intelligence is assisting the Police to locate suspects and arrest them.
