SLFP CC gives President authority to decide

The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) Central Committee (CC) has decided to give President Maithripala Sirisena the full authority to decide on the stand the party must take at the Presidential election.

The SLFP CC met late this evening to decide if it will support Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna Presidential candidate Gotabaya Rajapaksa or contest separately.

However the party was divided on the stand it must take and so it was decided to give the President, as the SLFP Chairman, the full authority to decide.

The President is expected to announce his stand tomorrow morning.

PCR test results of most returnees faulty

Health authorities propose second dose after 16 weeks
