Scotland Yard has arrested a 22-year-old man in London for his involvement in the kidnapping of a Sri Lankan born British couple in Chennai, the Times of India reported. Five arrested with jewelry, cigarettes

Five people were arrested when they attempted to smuggle unfinished jewelry and a large quantity of cigarettes via the Katunayaka airport today. Customs officers nabbed three women with unfinished jewelry including bangles when they were about to board a flight to Chennai. Police look for abandoned child’s mother

The police has sought public assistance to locate the mother of a child found abandoned at the private bus stand at Bastian Mawatha in Pettah. The children?s court in Battaramulla had ordered the police to publish the picture of the child in the media and seek public assistance to trace the mother.
