The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) has yet to agree for talks with the United National Party (UNP), SLFP General Secretary Dayasiri Jayasekera said today.
Speaking at a media briefing today Jayasekera said that he has not yet responded to a letter sent to him by the UNP seeking to hold talks.
He said that the SLFP has no personal issue with anyone in the UNP but there are policy issues.
Jayasekera said that the SLFP is still engaged in talks with the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) to work as an alliance.
He said that two new set of proposals have been submitted to the SLPP and the SLFP is now awaiting a response to those proposals.
