Mahinda says false allegations being spread on GR

Opposition Leader and former President Mahinda Rajapaksa says false allegations are being spread regarding the Presidential candidate of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

He said that social media is being used to sling mud at him, Gotabaya Rajapaksa and the SLPP.

However he says the public will not be misled by the false allegations.

Rajapaksa was speaking at an event held today to promote Gotabaya Rajapaksa as the SLPP Presidential candidate.

Speaking further, Mahinda Rajapaksa said that images had been circulating on Facebook giving the impression that he was very sick.

He said that he received several calls asking him if he was in poor health.

Rajapaksa urged the public not to be misled by false and unverified information. (Colombo Gazette)

  1. Yep, the white vans will pick up all the “alligators” and make them disappear off the face of the earth.

    Past history suggests there are many Rajapaksa’s waiting to replace Mahinda.

    The only question voters should ask themselves is: Wouldn’t it be better to have a thief as President who develops the country rather than the peresent crop of thieves in parliament who only “develop” their bank accounts, and do nothing for the country ?

    My fervent wish is that Gota is elected, and most of the scum raping and pillaging the country disappear permanently. But is Gota; Machiavellian enough to do that ?
