Indictments served on accused in arms trafficking case

Indictments have been served on the accused linked to Avant-Garde and Rakna Lanka in the arms trafficking case.
The indictments were served on nine accused in the case at the Permanent High Court-at-Bar.
Major General Palitha Fernando and four others accused were later granted bail by the Permanent High Court-at-Bar.
In addition another three defendants who had previously been released on bail were ordered released on the previous bail conditions.
A Trial-at-Bar was appointed lat month to hear the Avant-Garde case.
High Court Judges Dhammika Ganepola (President), Adithya Patabendige and Manjula Thilakeratne were appointed to the Trial-at-Bar to hear the Avant-Garde case at the Colombo High Court.
