President Maithripala Sirisena says the leaked telephone recording involving former Director General of the Bribery Commission Dilrukshi Dias Wickremasinghe raises several questions.
He said that the main concern is that it seemed investigations by the Bribery Commission under Dilrukshi Dias Wickremasinghe were politicized.
The President challenged Wickremasinghe to reveal the names of the Ministers who influenced her in her work.
Solicitor General and former Director General of the Bribery Commission Dilrukshi Dias Wickremasinghe today claimed that a Minister was involved in establishing contact between her and Avant-Garde Chairman Nissanka Senadhipathi.
In a leaked recording of a telephone conversation released yesterday Wickremasinghe is heard expressing regret over the action taken on Avant-Garde.
She said that had she known several people will lose their jobs she would not have taken legal action.
The female voice is also heard saying “I know how to break the law and make the law”. (Colombo Gazette)
