PSC records statement from President on Easter attacks

The Parliament Select Committee (PSC) investigating the Easter Sunday attacks recorded a statement from President Maithripala Sirisena today.

The statement was recorded at the Presidential Secretariat.

The President had earlier agreed to a request to make a statement before the PSC at the Presidential Secretariat.

As a result the PSC members visited the Presidential Secretariat to record the statement, behind closed doors.

The PSC said that it will submit its final report to Parliament next month.
