CA verdict on Gota challenged at SC

The Court of Appeal verdict on the writ application filed against Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna Presidential candidate Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s Sri Lankan citizenship has been challenged today. A petition has been filed before the Supreme Court in this regard. The Court of Appeal, last month, rejected the writ petition challenging Rajapaksa’s Sri Lankan citizenship. The writ petition was initially filed by writer and activist Gamini Viyangoda and painter-scholar Professor Chandraguptha Thenuwara.
