Reports on SriLankan Airlines to be handed over to AG

Reports related to investigations conducted on SriLankan Airlines, SriLankan Catering and Mihin Lanka will be handed over to the Attorney General (AG) for legal action to be taken.

Cabinet has approved a proposal to direct the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PcoI) to submit the reports to the Attorney General.

The PcoI had submitted its report to the President in July and the President has sought cabinet approval to submit the reports to the AG.

SriLankan Airlines, SriLankan Catering and Mihin Lanka had been investigated for several irregularities said to have taken place when the former Government was in power.

AG requests Chief Justice to appoint trial-at-bar on bond scam
